Evidence-Based Breathwork as a Tool for Challenging Times
Breathwork methods can significantly and effectively change the mood, perception, and nervous system activation. The session will include practice and real-life stories of implementing breathwork while going through challenging psychological and medical situations. According to Alicja Heyda, PhD, we can heal or ease the symptoms of prolonged stress, panic disorder, PTSD, claustrophobia, suicidal ideations and impulses, depression, and pain. Conscious breathing may make us feel grounded and serene despite any crises that may arise.
In this session, you’ll discover:
- A slow box breathing technique to ease claustrophobia, panic and acute stress, especially in medical situations
- A gentle but powerful practice using 6-breaths-per-minute to both psychosomatically and emotionally release any self-judgements
- Very light breathing with autohypnosis and guided imagery to ease emotional suffering and find serenity
